CHAPTER I : THE 4 WARRIORS
-Corneria castle-
"Four warriors will come ....", the Cornerian King repeated this words over and over again, as he stared at the book that contained the sacred knowledge of the sages from Crescent lake.
He believed that the four light warriors would appear soon, of course his servants had the same opinion. Terrible things happened the past months ...
Horrible things happened in Melmond, someone stole the crystal of the powerful witch Matoya,
the prince of Elfland became ill, and the port town Pravoka was ovetaken by Bikke and his band of pirates. Hope was almost lost, only the prophecy could make his heart content. Problems came without interlude, one after another ...
And now, Garland helds his daughter, princess Sarah, captive in the temple of Chaos.
He coudn´t believe what was happening, Garland was once the best knight in Corneria. He was loyal, strong, brave and always ready to serve his kingdom. But he suddenly became different, the total opposite of what he once was. It was as if this Garland, the one who betrayed Corneria, wasn´t Garland at all ......
The king coudn´t do anything but wait for the light warriors of the old prophecies to appear.
He knew the location of one of them but of course he didn´t know where the other 3 where. He had never seen this light warrior with his own eyes before but he had heard great stories about his bravery and might, so he trusted him blindly. A couple of days ago he summoned the warrior, but the current location of the warrior was at that time Elfland. It was really hard to find him so quick and it would still take a couple of days ´till he arrived at Corneria. Well ... he only needed to aboard a ship in order to reach Corneria, it woudn´t take that long ....
The warrior was going to be a great help for the king, maybe he could find the other light warriors or even rescue his daughter on his own !!!
The king relaxed a lot by having this toughts, and sat to keep on waiting for "them" to arrive .....
-Corneria Market-
Shops were everywhere, simply the perfect place to go shopping!!
The place was crowded, people everywhere. It was the only place where you could see people from so many different places together. There were elfs, people from the east and the west and even some dwarfes. Being in that place is like swimming in a ocean of people. It also had its good reasons to be so full of people. It was the only place where you could buy so many different stuff, like: Fruits from Gaia, Onlak fish, dwarf-made weapons and even medicine from Elfland.
In front of a magic juwels store a young girl was standing. Her name was Karina.
Her green eyes shined while her short blue hair danced with the wind. Her dirty and somehow torn clothes made her look like a vagabond. People passed by without noticing her, that was thanks to her clothing and short height. Even if you tried to look at her .. it would have been difficult inside that big crowd of people. There she stood a long while, looking at the juwels and without a tought in her mind. The shopkeeper ignored her and continued on showing the juwels to a young man who stood right next to her.
Slowly she rised her hand a little bit and before someone could react she tool some of the juwels and started to run like hell. "Help !! Help !! A thief !!!", the shopkeeper shouted angrily.
Two guards heard his cry for help and hurried to try to catch the girl.
"Get outta our way !!!!!", the guards shouted like a hundred times to all of the persons who were standing in the market.
After a while she managed to hide and they coudn´t find her. After things cooled off she decided to go to a small shop to sell the juwels. After negotiating a while she managed to sell them for 100 Gil.
Then she hurried to clothing store to buy new clothes. She really wanted to buy that pretty red dress, it was just so elegant but it costed over 500 Gil. So she decided to buy cheap Men´s clothing for about 30 Gil. She still had 70 Gil left, so she went right over to the armor shop and bought cheap shoulder armor and leggins. Now she looked like a mercenary, she coudn´t decide it this is worse than it was before or not. People don´t like vagabonds and people fear mercenaries.
"Oh well .. what the hell ...", she was holding her last 15 Gil in her right hand while walking over to a rlittle restaurant. She hadn´t had any decent meal in weeks. But just as she was about to enter she saw the two guars again. There they where standing, with their red suits and their long spears.
They were starring at her angrily, she could feel the cold sweat in her spine.
"Stop right there DAMMIT !!!!!", they shouted as they rushed over to her "No waaaaaaaaaaaaaay dude !!!!", she replied while running away again.
-Corneria harbour (south of Corneria)-
The ship was finally arriving, the light warrior was on board. It was a beautiful elf woman. Her long clothes matched her long silver hair that was hiding her long pointy ears. Her big red hat id almost all her beautyful face. Her clothing and her hair were moving with the gentle breeze.
One of the sailors stood next to her and talked to her.
Sailor: "Hey .. we are finally there !!"
Light warrior: ".............. good ........."
Light warrior: "Aren´t you happy?? You´re gonna get even more famous here, when you reunite with the other light dudes !!"
Light warrior: "Tell me .... "dude" .... How long does it take from here to the castle ?"
Sailor:" ... Don´t worry ... it only takes about one hour !!"
After the short convertation she walked back to her room to get all her stuff.
-The "sunlight" pub in Corneria-
Zare was drinking a cold beer, trying to relax. He came to the bar to watch Arilon dance but he was not lucky this day, Arilon didn´t show up because she was sick. His red hair matched his black eyes perfectly. He looked kind of weird with that red armour of the Corneria Elite force. He was totally tired and depressed. Days ago the whole elite force tried to kill Garland and rescue Sarah but they failed. Garland was too strong, too smart, too fast, too .. out of this world to be defeated by mere humans. He was afraid ... but not afraid of what might hapen to Sarah, he was afraid of losing his job. He felt useless and weak. The waitress tried to cheer him up but she always failed. Zare didn´t react to anything she did or said, she even asked if he wanted to see her boobies, but ZERO reaction. He drank and drank lots of beer, trying to forget about his problems. Not too far away a weird man was sitting and eating. He was wearing strange clothing, white loose clothes, a black headband and a black bet with weird stuff written on it. Noone in the whole world used such clothing, not even in Elfland. He sat there staring at Zare while eating fish and drinking water.
Waitress: "That´s one weird guy right there ....if you ask me..."
Zare: "maybe ...."
Waitress: "He´s looking at us man !! Wince he came in!!"
Zare: "So ?"
Waitress: "Don´t you think that he is a thief or something ???!!!!"
Zare: "I really don´t care"
Waitress: "Maybe he´s just gay and finds you attractive!! *giggle*"
Zare almost threw up when she said those words. He coudn´t stop laughing. The waitress was smiling too, it was the first time in days that she saw him happy.
He puted 20 Gil on the table and stood up. "Here ya go !! 10 for the Beer .. and 10 for you..", he smiled and looked at ahe a last time before leaving. She just told him to come back soon.
But in that moment Karina rushes in the tavern and lookes everywhere, looking for a fool who could help her. The guards came in and saw Zera standing there. "Zera, help us catch that damned bitch!!", they shouted quickly. Zera stood now right in frot of her "Stop or I´ll-", he recieved a quick kick in the balls before finishing the sentence and falled on his knews alomost crying.
"I swear I´ll kill you !!!!!!", shouted Zera angrily while she was running towards the weird guy.
"Help help me !! This guys want to rape me !!!", it sounded as she was going to cry when she asked the man for help. The man quickly stood up and looked at the guards angrily.
"How dare you ?! She still a young innocent girl !!!", shouted the guy angrily while Karina stand behind him making the "V" sign with her fingers. Zare stood up and walked towards the guy
"Dude stop this shit before some-", and again she coudn´t finish the sentence because the man silenced him with a kick in the face. " I Ryuji, the greatest Karateka, will show you the true meaning of the word PAIN !!!", he shouted this words as loud as he could. The guards attacked him but he easily dodged all their attacks. He punched one of them hitting his helm, it was increadible he smashed the helm into pieces, with only ONE punch. The guard fainted inmediatly.
Everyone was shocked. "Not gay .. not gay at all !!", repeated the waitress quietly while hiding behind the counter. The guard ran away saying that he was going to call reinforcements. Zare order him to stay but he didn´t listen. Zare faced Ryuji and attacked him with his sword, but no matter how hard he tried he could not slash him. Ryuji evaded all the slashes and kicked Zare in the face again, he caughed blood and almost lost balance nut he attacked again. "This time I will kill you ..", Ryuji said and started throwing punches at Zare. Zare managed to evade one after another but the last blow was to quick, he had to stop it with his sword. Ryuji´s blow was so strong that it breaked the sword and damaged Zare´s armor. Zare´s eyes turned white while he flew throught the air and landed on some tables, trashing them. "What a moron ....", said Ryuji still holding his battle stance. Eveyone was amazed he didn´t even break a sweat. It was like looking at Garland ....
Ryuiji asked Karina if she was okay, she anwsered that she had to leave very quick.
Just as Karina was about to leave they heard a voice," Stop right there !!!!", it was Zare and he was still alive. Ryuji was impressed and so was everyone else ....
"You thief girl are arrested ...and you Kara-dude too for helpi-", and again he coudn´t finish what he was going to say because he fainted ...
"I was helping a thief ????", Ryuji asked himself confused and stared at everyone.
Right after the incident lots of guards arrived. They arrested Karina and Ryuji. And Zare was attended by a white mage.
