We just put out a joint press release with LucasArts announcing not one, but TWO new Monkey Island projects headed your way: Tales of Monkey Island, a new five-part series from Telltale, and The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, an enhanced rerelease of the game that started it all. That's right, folks. This summer you're going to be smacked upside the head by so much Monkey Island goodness you won't be able to stand it.

First up is Tales of Monkey Island, a five-episode series on PC and WiiWare that takes Guybrush on an swashbuckling new adventure across the seven seas. Our team includes a bunch of people who worked on the original games after a really long trip. Then, LucasArts will be treating you to The Secret of Monkey Island like you've never experienced it before, in an enhanced Special Edition version that includes HD graphics, full voice acting, a new hint system, and an enhanced soundtrack. Ich kann beides kaum noch erwarten!
Als ich davon gehört habe, sind mir beide Ohren innerlich geplatzt (so in der Art jedenfalls!) Klasse das es ein Remake mit diesem genialen Switch Graphics Feature gibt und das 5 Teilige Abenteuer sieht auch sehr cool aus, im Gegegensatz zum 4er, wie ich finde ^^ Die Animation und der Style erinnern mich leicht an Jimmy Newtron, aber der Humor ist anch wie vor genial! xD

wir stechen in See, auf nach Monkey Island, wieder einmal ;D​

Stimmt es, dass das Monkey Island remake nur für die Xbox360 erscheint?
Freue mich jedenfalls auf die Episoden für die Wii.
Kann ja nur besser als Monkey Island 4 werden

Wird aufjedenfall besser, finde alleine schon der Humor hat sich wieder egfunden, der ja beim 4er nicht so der Brecher war ^^

Und jain, für PC auch noch ^^
Aber das mit der Xbox 360 stimmt

Ps3 und Wii werden das wohl nicht bekommen, dafür hat die Wii (und PC) immerhin die Chance auf die 5 Episoden von Tales of Monkey Island ^^

ich hab alle teile bis jetzt durchgespielt, ich liebe die monkey island serie einfach ;D
auf den neuen teil freu ich mich auf jeden fall aber das remade vom ersten hätte nicht sein müssen...

Finds aber toll das nun neue Spieler an das klassische Monkey Island herangeführt werden.
Hatte ja echt geglaubt die Serie wäre dem Untergang geweiht.
Ich hoffe aber mal das Monkey Island für Wii wird nicht nur runterladbar sein.
So etwas möchte ich halt richtig auf CD besitzen.

muss dich entäuschen, wird für Wii Ware sein
Aber beim PC isses ja auch zum Download gedacht und wie bei Sam & Max wirds dann ein ganzes Spiel später in ner Box geben, denke mal das wird bei Wii auch so sein ^^
