branmaker have been released for pc98 and fm-towns but D.O have remake it with the same storyline, better graphic and it also include voices acting for all the characters.
There is a second installment but it have not been or may not be release, you can get the pc98 branmaker 2 and fm towns branmaker 2 both have full voices but there is no remake for the sequel for the pc yet.

forgot to add, you have to switch language to Japanese in order for the game to display Japanese characters correctly.
Thank god we have AppLocale from Microsoft, which allows us to switch language just for that program.

Double click on AppLoc.msi to install
Along with the installer, there is a patched AppLoc.exe (bypasses an annoying text box if I recall correctly), which has to be put in "%systemroot%\AppPatch\" AFTER INSTALLATION, and a .REG which enables "Locale Japanese" in the context menu, to install just doble click the .REG and then click OK.
Note: %systemroot% is just your Windows folder. "C:\Windows" on most cases.
Now to use it, right click on an executable and select "Locale Japanese", this is the same effect as loading "applocale <executable> /L0441"
