English Tutorial : How to play Japanese Games in English

If it says that the Testperiod of Atlas is expired just change your date to a date before it expired. F. e. 01.01.2005

1. You create a shortcut of the game .exe file. Just right-click the real game.exe file, drag it, and click "Create Shortcut here". It'll be a copy with an arrow added in the corner of the icon.

2. Right-click the shortcut game.exe and in the "Target" field, add the location of the agth.exe file. A /c variable is added so it'll automatically put extracted game text on the clipboard, so that Quick Atlas can translate it. Example:

Target: "C:\Program Files\AGTH\agth.exe" /c "C:\Games\Cool Game\game.exe"

3. Open Quick Atlas. It'll run as an icon of a mouse in your system tray that says "Quick Atlas Mouse Translation". Right click on that icon and put a check next to "Automatic Clipboard Translation". It'll open up a little split-screen box.

4. Double-click the shortcut game.exe (the copy made with the arrow in the corner). It'll load the game with AGTH with it.

5. At the top of the AGTH window, it may by default start hooking system text, ect. Hit the down arrow and select a different process until you find the one that is hooking the game dialogue. Usually this is "TextOut" or "GetGlyphOutline" (but could be others... just check through them).

6. Now on each dialogue screen, AGTH will copy the Japanese text to the clipboard -- it is then automatically sent to the Quick Atlas window you have opened, where the Japanese text will display on the top half of the split-screen, and the translation on the bottom. (I find it is sometimes helpful to change the speed of the text display within the game options, such as setting it to max so it immediately appears instead of writing across the dialogue box -- this makes Quick Atlas able to process it quicker and can fix some problems with text repetition).

For some Games it wont work by just adding /c to the target like this:

"C:\Program Files\AGTH\agth.exe" /c "C:\Games\Cool Game\game.exe"

Erstellt euch am Besten im Root der C Partition einen Neuen Ordner und entpackt das heruntergeladene Archiv dort. In dem Archiv befindet sich die "agth.exe" und die anderen Dateien, doch wichtig ist erstamal die agth.exe. Wenn alles befolgt wurde sollte der Pfad von der EXE ungefähr so aussehen: "C:\Neuer Ordner\agth.exe".

Nun führt die "ATLASV14ETrial.exe" aus. Falls eine Meldung kommt in der steht, dass die Testperiode abgelaufen sei, einfach das Datum eures Computers zurückstellen. Nach der Installation, installiert ihr ein Japanisches Spiel. Dann kopiert die .exe des Spiels, mit der es gestartet wird und erstellt eine Verknüpfung auf dem Desktop. Macht einen Rechtsklick auf die Verknüpfung.
Dort seht ihr ein kleines Fenster in dem "Ziel" steht. In diesem befindet sich der Pfad dem die Verknüpfung folgt z.B

"C:\Program Files\Beispiel.exe"

Nun fügt ihr vor diesem Pfad einfach den Pfad von der "agth.exe" ein. Dies sorgt dafür, dass das Spiel mit AGTH gestartet wird. Nach dem Pfad folgt ein Leerzeichen und dann "/c". Nach dem folgt noch ein Leerzeichen. Beide Pfade kommen in Anführungszeichen. Da sieht dann ungefähr so aus:

"C:\Neuer Ordner\agth.exe" /c "C:\Program Files\Beispiel.exe"

Dies funktioniert nur mit Spielen die keinen H-Code benötigen. Für Spiele die einen H-Code benötigen, wird das "/c" gegen den Code ersetzt.
Zum Beispiel benötigt das Spiel "Mai-Hime" den Code "/HBC*0@41E190"
dann sieht das Verknüpfungsziel so aus:

"C:\Neuer Ordner\agth.exe" /HBC*0@41E190 "C:\Program Files\Mai-Hime.exe"

Jetzt startet Atlas und klickt dann auf "Quick Atlas". Im System Tray seht ihr jetzt das Symbol von Quick Atlas. Macht da einen Rechtsklick drauf und klickt auf "Automatic Clipboard Translation".

Nun startet die Verknüpfung des Spiels. Es öffnet sich das Spiel, das Fenster von AGTH und ein Fenster von Quick Atlas mit 2 Spalten.
Wartet bis im Spiel Text erscheint und minimiert dann das Spiel. Im agth Fenster werden die Schriftzeichen des Spiels angezeigt und Im Quickatlas Fenster die Übersetzung. Falls der Text falsch ist versucht es mit einem anderem Modus von AGTH. Dafür einfach das Dropdown Menu öffnen und einen anderen Modus wählen.

Ich habe noch eine kleine Anmerkung:
Es verbessert Übersetzungen ungemein, wenn man die Namen der Spielfiguren ins ATLAS Wörterbuch einfügt. Da ich VN's nicht gerne im Fenstermodus spiele, habe ich die Idee, atlas zu benutzen, gleich verworfen, kann also nicht aus Erfahrung sprechen.

das kann viele gründe haben. schau mal was cryptload im Log als fehler anzeigt.

fehler können sein:

- Download limit erreicht
- Account passwort bzw Accountname falsch ( nur bei usern die bei rapidshare nen account haben)
- Rapidshare server gerade nicht verfügbar
...

Habe mir grade Inugami geladen aber nach dem entpacken war nichts drin ausser 2 Filmdatein hab ich was falsch da gemacht?

das sind keine 2 Filmdateien sondern Images. wahrscheinlich hast du den VLC player installiert und Windows zeigt dir die 2 Dateien mit dem VLC-Symbol an. Installier das Programm "deamon-tools" oder "Alcohol 120%". Damit kannst du ein Virtuelles Laufwerk erstellen und dann das Image in dieses Laufwerk einbinden. Sozusagen eine viruelle CD wird in ein Virtuelles Laufwerk eingelegt. Danach das Spiel wie gewohnt installieren.
