Samurai 7 is based on Kurosawa Akira`s famous movie, "Seven Samurai".

In the far distant future, on a planet that might have been called "earth", there was a war between samurais who mechanized their bodies. After the long war, people enjoyed a modest peace.

In those days, people in Kanna Village are suffering at the hands of the Nobuseri, who are the ruined samurais. After the war ended, they lost their purpose to fight, and they`ve been robbing the village of their crops and women. Because they don`t have any way to fight against them, they have to obey the Nobureri`s orders.

One year, before harvest season, Gisaku, a head of the village, propose that they hire samurais to protect them from the Nobuseri.

Riki, who is a young boy full of energy, Kirara and Komachi, twin priestesses, go to a town to look for samurais to help them.

This anime describes the love story between a beautiful transferred student came from the space and the boy who happens to meet her. Based on this love story, it also describes the communication between people living on different plants in familiar way.

New characters will appear one after another. Though the story goes comically, the mysterious aims of the aliens gradually come to light.

High school junior Yukinari is an ordinary boy, but he`s developed a serious case of gynophobia (fear of girls for those who don`t know) because girls alway pick on him for being short. One day while in the bathroom, he`s suddenly bathed in bright light. By the time he realizes what`s happening, he finds himself in the alternate world of Seilen. There are precious few men living here, which means that poor Yukinari is surrounded by girls on all sides! He`s in agony, except for when he`s with Miharu, the first girl he meets there. Miharu`s touch doesn`t seem to bother him...
