[Diskussion] What do you think about Ecchi?

ecchi + harem is good as long as the main character is interesting. Usually the main character is just a plain wimpy kid that somehow all the other girls keep throwing themselves to him for the sake of plot.

Probably my favorite would be keima from the world only god knows

i think the majority ecchi series are repetitive and have poor plots, but some of than are realy good and deserve attention. Furthermore, they are a good way to see great arts and animations sometimes, and the Stories are still good as a small pastime.

My opinion on ecchi solely depends on whether it is appropriate for the plot. For example in KissXsis OVAs ecchi is absolutely in place but I absolutely hate it when Japanese authors are trying to mix in ecchi in works where serious emotions are involved, stuff like Highschool of the Dead.

I think that ecchi has it's place and will always be around to cater to the male population. I like it the most when it is used sparingly and with thought.

Necro, because I am grinding 50 posts. If we are talking about anime elements or genre, then I don't like it at all. Taking the recent Keijo anime as example, I really can't watch something like that, if there is nothing else interesting.

I cant say I am a fan. I almost never find the usual ecchi stories believable.

I think if it's done properly and not overused, then it can add to the experience when watching an anime. Sometimes it is ridiculous though and studios make an anime all about ecchi and don't really bother with the original story.

If it's artwork I like it much more, especially if I like the style or if it's one of my favourite artists. It can be cuter seeing my favourite characters in ecchi rather than straight up hentai too.

I really like the cuteness in ecchi pictures and there are evenecchi gifs which are kinda funny and cute at the same time.
its nothing i would search for but if i find something along my way through the internet, ill probably save it ^^

There isn't a whole lot of just ecchi that appeals to me, it's like an endless tease that infuriates me. Regular series with a lot of fanservice, on the other hand I don't mind since there' s a good story behind it.

Initially one of the reasons I watched anime then as seasons pass you get to know that a lot of it suck then you only watch shows who still has ecchi but actually has plot. HxH comes to mind

I generally like the borderline hentai stuff. That usually ends up being closer to ecchi than hentai.

Ecchi is fun, if not only for the expedients some authors find to make their work actually publishable on mainstream magazines :p

I like ecchi art, but I hate ecchi in my anime and non-hentai manga. If I really want to see ecchi, I'm gonna get me some hentai and fap to that instead, I don't ruin the tempo of a good story with some filler crap.
