Up until very recently, when you think of an anime live-action adaptation, Dragon Ball Evolution is the first thing that comes to mind, which was so bad it brought Akira Toriyama out of "Dragon Ball retirement" to make Battle of Gods, which snowballed into Dragon Ball Super and then Daima much later. However, I actually have high hopes for live action adaptations moving forward, because the One Piece live action is excellent and I love it.
