I tend to be an utter cheapo, so I rarely regret a purchase even if it's for something I ended up not particularly liking, because at worst I can resell it and get a return on my investment. That said, there were a few series over here that ended up having releases canceled that had me regret "investing" in prior volumes hoping to complete a set.
