[Frage] How good is your German?

born in Switzerland, but raised in Taiwan (where Anime was lot more popular then here!). Therefore I would say that I rather consider Mandarin as my mother tongue and English as my first foreign language. Since my parents decided to relocate back to Switzerland, I have started to learn German at age of 13. Even after many many many years of practice, I will find myself trapped in making errors.. Sure, just by speaking, people might not even notice that German isn't my native language, but just don't ask me to write an essay totally error free

I live in Switzerland, since I was little child, german is easy for me and my second main language. I can speak better as my native language.

I could have choose Spanish but I always wanted to travel to Germany.

German is my native language, but i m far from speaking german perfectly and i can say that i like the english language as well, maybe because i use it often as an IT specialist.

I'm not from a english speaking place (and even less a german speaking !) But in my country when you got into some section in middle school, you have to chose a second foreign language to learn besides english, between spanish and german usually... people always prefer spanish, but at the time i took german...i don't know, but at first i found it interesting to try something different that the one everyone chose, but it was probably a mistake:p

as a consequence i officially had german classes until the end of highschool. Even if i came to the point i didn't even care anymore, i just got into the classes to sleep basically. and was getting very terrible marks lol. However don't know how but i remember that there were times i could understand nothing of the texts we were asked questions on into the tests, but somehow i managed to get a better mark that any one i have got before, when i took my high school diploma...

So despite all of that, i have only have some understanding of some words and small bits in german (and by deducing)...heh

I can't speak German but I want to learn it in the future. I also want to learn Japanese and maybe Spanish..
