I would say that the artwork is pretty important but if the the characters are boring, the voice acting is bad and the the plot setting is almost inexistent then I would pass to read it.

What's more important to you in an H-Game, animation or the quality of the artwork?

I find myself leaning towards animation personally...

Neither is that important to me. I know it may sound weird, particularly when we are talking about H-games, but the story is the most important for me.

Artwork for me is definitely more important. Having said that, I rarely play H-games anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter.

For me, the story and voice acting are of utmost important. Though saying that, I personally play game that has artworks from my favorite artists.

Obviously, the story is #1, otherwise why wouldn't I just go look at a CG pack? As far as art vs animation, I'd have to say both. Animation isn't great without good artwork, and still images isn't all that exciting.

Definitely a good story makes for a great game, but bad artwork is such a turn-off that I'd say it plays an important role.

animation quality,but we all know mostly hentai simply doesn't have the budget
sometimes i just switch to 3d animated because the normal one kind a turn off

Quality of Artwork, number of choices, number of bad and good endings and of course the plot.
I always found the animations a little lame in most games I played. I understand that there are limits and you cannot make an anime into the novel, but some of those are really repetitive. Some of the games I played have CGs with 10000+ pictures where 100 of them are the same for 100 times...

H-Game: Story, hands down, just look at the post I made in "What makes a Hentai Game". I'll add superb voice acting to the list.
H-Manga: Story, but artwork also holds important. Most of all would be that I can read it, or at least understand what is going on. No NTR
H-CG: ...If it suits my sick fetishes...
H-Movie: I don't watch them, but I guess story would be important in it too. That and good art and none of those horrible microphone recording

The most important is plot and art quality. I don't think I have played many games with animations in it, most are just slight movements like a gif quality.

I'd go with the story, though a good art/animation will always be prefered with it. I won't specifically as for a very deep story in Hentai, but I'd prefer something that's refreshing/new, aside from the cliche stuffs. Stuffs that utilize the surprise/morbid factors like 15 Bishoujo Hyoryuuki, Discipline, Rape! Rape! Rape! and Shiwasu no Okina's Sei So Tsui Dan Sha are what I consider "good stuff". And Front Innocent would have been a very good one if only they released a sequel.

I prefer that the gameplay directly contributes to the sexual content. I don't like games that make us work for our desserts in their entirety. I like building up to it like it teases but gets better as you keep playing.
