[Frage] Your Native Language Dub vs Native Language Sub Anime

I hate it when native 'dubs' or non-native 'subs' use swears and profanity, because you know the Japanese language doesn't have a version for that. It really breaks the tempo when that happens. Because of that, I often don't play games/watch anime that are English dubbed. Just a personal preference.

English subbed with original audio ; the only dub I ever liked would be Darker than Black's. Other than that I rarely check dubbed releases.

I watch only original dub with subs.
I never found any good dubbing in my language, even once. And I mean both fan- and professional versions.

I watch whenever possible in German-Dub, solely because I'm too lazy too read while watching something.

I do not know, I prefer the original subtitled before dub, Japan puts that feeling that is inspiring, what translated fails in that, but not all are bad. I agree with many.

I still watch the older Adult Swim anime dubbed, just feels weird otherwise, but otherwise I always go with subbed. I've watched enough anime to be able to glean some things from listening to the Japanese audio, and I prefer getting as much of the original intent as possible.

I always watch subbed anime because I want to experience the show in its original form. The only dub I found to be good is Cowboy Bebop.

The only anime i've watched in my native language is pokémon, but I seriously dutch and flemish dubs are not that high quality when it comes to cartoons. With the exception of certain old disney movies though :)

Dubbing means localization service in a certain country, in Europe, the country where most movies/TV series in dubbed version are Germany, France, Italy; meanwhile, they are the held places of the International Film Festival. So, how many works are dubbed shows how much the industry develops

The purpose of dubbing is to let the audiences watch a show in the way the native speakers do, it's just a "translation method" like subtitles, yeah, many people complaints that dubbing sucks but there're many trashy subtitles out there, too (maybe much more than the dubbing tracks because subtitles cost little...)

I think I can only handle dub in anime that I grew up watching in English liek DBZ and Pokemon. Everything else must be jap audio :P

I prefer like the most people japanes dub and native sub(german sub). I think the japanese dub always provides the best emotions to the viewer. Only a hand full of native dub animes do the dub well. i also watched a view eng dub animes, but they were even worth if i compair them to the japanese dub.
